Seeing how you do have Windows Pro, then your CU messed something up, you would not be the 1st either. You might want to consider doing a Repair Install of your Windows. That should fix your issue.

    • Can you post a screen shot of the settings page?
    • And which version of Windows do you have? Include Build number....

I turned my PC on this morning to see this update completing the install but on checking the updates to see what had installed I was prompted to restart my PC to complete the same cumulative update. Never had this happen before but the install completed without issues. I also noticed that the Other section in Updates now no longer shows failed Windows Apps updates, something I always found odd before (it seemed to start with the Fall Creators Update).

Talking of strange, I find it amusing that Microsoft are putting so much effort into fixing issues with Internet Explorer 11. I have never used it since updating to Windows 10, preferring to use Edge or Chrome. I can understand supporting it on Windows 8 and earlier but I’d be surprised if anyone on Windows 10 is using it as it a poor browser in my opinion here in 2017.

So does anyone here actually use it?
I do once in awhile, as some sites don't link videos through edge, but do through IE11. Not sure if it's a flash issue, maybe.

You have the "Some settings are managed by your organization" notice. Do you by chance have anything tweaked in the Local Group Policy Editor?

On my computers that information comes from when Windows is first installed. On my main computer it is my Microsoft account name. Should be a place in Settings or right-click the Start button, choose System. Has a Rename this PC button on that page.

Hmm that didn't work. Changed it to my nickname (Ant) and still shows as username/org name in winver. Had a look online and I think it's because I'm in as a local admin account
