Shawn, used your download to change it back to grey and it stayed grey until a restart changed it back to white. Changed location setting, restarted, changed it back to USA and it stayed grey until a restart turned it white again. Tried a registry hack to turn it back to grey and that worked until a restart, it seems that any changes performed to those setting will change back to default after a restart now. Using dark mode works but I didn't like it, finally I changed the Cortana box to a Cortana icon and at least I don't have that big ugly white Cortana box distracting me every time I open a browser. Never happened until I installed this CU, I guess I will be living with this until a possible fix comes along.

Same here, mine was fine until I rebooted then the box reverted to white.

So far the only issue I have with Build 16299.98 on a few computers is that Microsoft has managed to break usage of their own branded Bluetooth mice and one LogiTech Bluetooth mouse that worked find in Build 16299.64. I have 3 different models of Microsoft Bluetooth mice that are recognized and connected but actually do nothing, no pointer movement nor click actions. I can understand [not agree with] the LogiTech not being supported but not with their own products. The oldest Microsoft BT mouse I have works fine on my Apple MacBook Pro running macOS High Sierra.

I do have an older Targus BT mouse that gets properly/completely set up on a couple of Notebooks.

My Win10 Notebooks are comprised of Dell, HP and ASUS brands.

If I can get Feedback Hub to open I'll also post there.

This is a look at what's to come for a floating Cortana Search bar.

IE became a total crash fest for me right after the Anniversary update. After that I moved to Edge and never looked back.
Odd - I have always used (in descending order of frequency) IE, Firefox and Edge. All are reliable, all feel equally fast. I have little or no add-ons, perhaps that's why I have no problems?

Some sites work better in one rather than the others - hence the mix. My preference for IE is more out of habit than for any technical reason, but all get regular use. TBH, there's little to choose between them now.

It appears this update is classed as a 'Feature Update'.

I have Feature Updates deferred for 28 days and Quality Updates deferred for 7. A manual update check showed nothing available and so I set Quality to zero days and ran a new check. Still nothing. Rebooted and still nothing on a manual check. Setting Feature Updates to zero immediately showed the update available on a manual scan.
Just curious but where is the setting you are referring to exactly?

    A few questions,
    1) Does this update actually include KB4052342 and KB4055237 as I don't see those come up in Windows Update and don't see a way to manually download and install it.
    2) I seem to have 3 Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 installed within the last 10 days. How do I find out what the specific update is?

    Hello @Almighty1,

KB4052342 and KB4055237 are separate updates available for an older build to v1709 that automatically get installed.

@Brink are these for 1709 because neither of my 1709 systems have received them or are they to get to 1709?

    Noticed something else odd...

There was a notification that the install had failed but it is showing the correct new version.

This may explain the need for my two logins reported earlier.
The same exact thing happened to me, with the exception that I'm using Windows 10 Home and that I can login in normally i.e. no two logins. It shows the proper OS build 16299.98 when I check it.

Should I be worried? Should I do a system restore and try again or leave it alone?
