Ok then what happened in 2008 that changed things? Perhaps the laxation of the rules? I haven’t been on that site in years, so I didn’t know that they were changed. BTW, George W. Bush was in office then. The Commissioner of the US FTC then was this guy:

Umm, err, I started the thread, so I’ve read every post. I also started the Do Not Call subject in answering Anak’s post and read everyone since.
Everyone needs to follow federal law, even if we don’t agree with them. They have the badges and guns. Again, looks to me like they have laxed the rules.

Josey, I have no argument with you. In fact, I agree with you in that the FTC is not doing their job, for if we signed up for Do Not Call, then by all means we should not get them. And again, all I know is I don’t get them for whatever reason unbeknownst to me.
I think I did, but I vaguely remember when I signed up if I did or needed to do this > Everyone needs to answer to the followup email after signing up to the Do Not Call as per this page at the bottom:
