Correct. I was going to mention this when I first read Marty's first post, but glad I decide to finish the thread first.

Directly in /sytem32 I have only 6 files, 3 from (presumably) my Logitech devices and 3 win32k. But adding the subdirectory flag I find 782.

@martyfelker, perhaps you're remembering .DLLs instead of .SYS? I find 3500 .DLLs in /system32....
Exactly. I was remembering .dll files. Using dir /s I'm getting 813 .sys files in the system32 folder counting its subdirs. That is using command.com. If I I use conemu I get much more detailed results. Thanks very much for this.

Buildfeed.net is up to 17061 compiled Monday. This may be the candidate that was discussed at the teleconference. I was fooled since he said he had just uploaded it to buildfeed - guess there are more hoops to jump through which is good. They do seem to be doing more internal testing before releasing a build which is also good.

I have an amd 7700 video adapter which is now legacy but I did install the latest amd adrenalin dirver without any issues.

We should either get 17061 or hear bad news in less than an hour.

Thanks again @johngalt for correcting my memory regarding .sys vs .dll files.

I don't understand this process. I hope this next release, which is so important (but we have 3 months to go!) will have many improvements we can pound on. Meanwhile I will play with Docker for Windows and of course Debian Sid.

No backup is ever wasted. Your drive could fail later today (not wishing that if course :-D).

I think they want to make absolutely sure we get a stable build that works on as many devices as possible. After all the Christmas holidays are coming and not much will happen during that period regarding development.
