It would be nice to know if we are going to get a new build or not, don't you think? I'm like many others on this forum who have backed up and 'house-cleaned' my systems, in optimistic fashion. Hope we don't sit here all day and be told at sunset that all is off.
Look up, Magilla! Just above your head, Shawn posted that we ain't!

I was typing as Shawn was posting. Oh well, everything is all backed up and tidy. Have a good weekend, all.

Anyone know of a workaround (other than rebooting) for when UAC stops working in this build? You say "Yes" and then...nothing, no program is run.

I thought it was just me having this issue.

And sometimes when I press the Windows key on my KB, nothing happens.

And uninstalling programs from the Microsoft Store seems to do nothing, until I reboot and the program is gone....

The UAC issue has gotten a fair number of upvotes. Too bad today's build was cancelled, as I bet it's fixed there.

Ty. I recently diagnosed a machine with massive Trojan infections (started over this past weekend, my sister's machine), and I had just cleanly reinstalled the week prior, so I thought it was my machine having some sort of infection that nothing was finding, not even rootkit scanners (I shaved get HD to my system and ran bootable scanner after bootable scanner, until I found nothing else, then bored my machine normally and ran Defender offline, then MB3 from inside my system on hey drive - and found more infections....)

I am halfway through a complete reinstall as we speak, lol. All that for nothing.

Strangely, though, I didn't really notice it before, but my other 2 issues are what led me to cleanly reinstall last week in the first place.

Note to self: Check feedback next time lol

OK I give up. What exactly does

really mean? Google is even in a mess when searching for some kind of definitive answer?
