    Build 17054

I've got in todays morning (in local time), via Feedback Hub Response, such message:
Thank you for submitting this issue. We have fixed this issue in build no 17054 and higher
Issue was overestimate of time span for Defender scan.
So 17054 or higher, today or later

I believe SL developers were US based anyway. MS only talk in two levels - for total noobs, or for mega brainsized geeks (far beyond even the best gerks in tenforums).

This is made worse with the dumbing down of communications since DS era using all sorts of silly language in tweets - a flight is what a bird or plan does. I want details, not deets etc.
Actually SL is more than just a global grade level discussion - it is task specific eg you can be a genius in quantum physics but may need to be given more simplistic instructions how to make one of Wynona's sugar free apple pies (blimey I am drooling now:-D).

Agree with Dencal, re Dona's Tweet - it was just a sprinkling of fungal growth enhancer to take the attention away from the lack of real developments going on. I expect more of this sort of diversionary tactics as time goes by.

It was your rather (imo) pointless statement about lack of real development (sic) that I was talking about.
You may have misread "developments", it seems. Yep, hands up, I may have put that badly - it's just that since we "skipped ahead" past FCU, I get a feeling of going ahead even more slowly, like moonwalking, so please strike developments and insert progress.

    - and now we are in agreement.

Terry Pratchett called it "lies to children".

Lack of Progress may be true. Of course do not forget they are pribably recovering from their Thanksgiving holidays - a big event in US.

In Americanese, we call that "Speaking to their grade level". Not derogatory at all, simply practical at times. And appreciated by the audience.
Yeah, explain it to me in everyday language I can understand. Save the developers' language for those who use it.

Yes! I'm in no way a total noob, even if I do act like it sometimes. And my brain, although it functions quite well, is nowhere near mega size.

As far as communications, I won't use those silly translations like 4 to replace for, 2 to replace to or too, u for you, etc. That's just plain laziness in my book.

I may not understand details at the level of the "leaked" post completely but it is far better than two word tweets. It seems unlikely that we will get 17056 (the newest canary) or wait until next Weds when we might get 17059 which should be compiled today. Either way there should be a bunch of new features I hope. And by the way I also am sometimes amazed that something this complex works at all.

    I have not really been keeping up with this thread,. but this is what I gather to this point;

Today Microsoft (or Dona) is going to drop a new build, but in the meantime we are going to get some of Wynona's sugar free apple pie served to us by a quantum physicist.

I am going to keep my schedule open for today so I won't miss any of that pie.

Wonder if this had anything to do with them holding things back on the next build:
