I had a choppy Start menu at first in the last build. It calmed down after awhile.
This tutorial worked in FCU, but couldn't get to work with a clean install of 17040 nor in this upgraded build. It's a PITA restructuring Start screen in IP upgrades and fresh installs! The most frustrating aspect of updating!
Backup and Restore Start Layout in Windows 10 Backup Restore Tutorials
The old inch worm Acer is updating. I'll leave it run while I go snooze.
I was wrong, the issue is fixed. Both Image Guardian and CBT are fully working in 17046, not breaking OneDrive Files on Demand anymore. Issue only exists in builds 17035 and 17040.
About CBT:
More: Macrium Changed Block Tracker - KnowledgeBase - Macrium Reflect KnowledgebaseMacrium Reflect Changed Block Tracker (MRCBT) reduces the amount of time it takes to perform incremental and differential images by monitoring the changes to an NTFS formatted volume in real-time. This is especially relevant when a file system contains very large files, such as virtual hard disk (VHD) files, where speed improvements are significant and can reduce the Incremental image time from hours to minutes or even seconds.
Great, I am glad to hear it. Thanks for CBT post - better description than I saw elsewhere. I only really use incremental s when I am trying something and want to quickly backup current state e.g. some regedits (with rapid delta restore, this is a really quick way to roll back - I have system restore switched off now).
So in the end, issue was a Windows 10 not Macrium issue.
I ran it for a while when it first came out as I use daily differentials and the occasion incremental. Even though at the time I wasn't shutting down daily I found that I still had to do the odd restart which stopped it in it's tracks for the differentials until the next full backup. It didn't make much difference anyway so I disabled it.
