Thanks....is Brandon now the new "go to" for info? Ms. Dona has said nothing.
Not really news that we aren't getting a new build today since I don't recall ever getting one on Monday. But reading between the lines of Brandon's messages makes it sound as if there's no viable candidate yet. Unless it happens this week, I'm thinking we won't get anything until January since office people usually do as little work as possible between Christmas and New Years.

Not really, a while ago I had already answered someone who asked the same thing so I just had to look for that comment

We will hear something tomorrow or Weds but what the news will be is anyones guess. If no build this week then 17046 is it for the rest of the year I fear. I'm starting to get occassional GSOD on a Thread Exception not handles but since I run 2 BOINC projects and have three VMs autostarted I figure its the price I pay for convenience.

If Microsoft does not release any build this week, I trust and hope that one of them leaks online, remember that a year ago, exactly on December 25, build 14997 was leaked.

I hope a working build gets released that doesn't have this application / task suspension bug in it.

I'm getting mighty tired of having to reboot my PC because my go-to fm app xplorer2 keeps hanging, along with over 50% of the apps I have been installing on my clean system. The app installs I've been able to force resume the process through Resource Monitor, but when xplorer2 hangs it is not actually suspended, and suspending and then resuming doesn't make it come back.

I am also a fan of xplorer2 but I have no problems here. This version is stable for me.

I've clean installed 3 times this month, so I highly doubt that it is anything I am doing personally. But when I use xplorer2 to run an installation, not only does the system suspend the process for the installer, but while suspended xplorer2 becomes unresponsive, and half the time it will not become responsive even if I resume the installation and it completes the install. I can use Task Manager to kill xplorer2 bu t at that point it is goofy, and things go downhill, so I opt to reboot the machine instead, which, at least temporarily, gives me a working xplorer2 without any issues - until I perform another install.

Also, long copy processes cause xplorer2 to also stop responding (and every time an app stops responding, this build of Windows makes the app window shrink and surrounds the app window with a 5+ pixel black border.

I really don't want to have to wait until next year for a new build.
