Triple Boot Windows 10 IP Build 17046/Windows Server 2016/Debian Sid
       12 Dec 2017 #543

This looks like the build we will get Thursday. Compiled Saturday. Uploaded to buildfeed within the last few hours.

    10.0.17060.1000 (rs_prerelease.171209-1443)

I can't be more specific about the time because I was dealing with the firest GSOD's I've gotten in quite awhile. Rolled back to a image I had made from Windows Server 2016 (which was successful in installing the December CU) with Terabyte Image for Windows. I have to do some log investigations but one was a SYSTEM THREAD EXCETION NOT HANDLED during a number of concurrent program updates

When did this happen? And more importantly, how can windows be running at all without almost all the .sys files it used to have in system32?

    C:\Windows\System32]dir *.sys

Volume in drive C is Windows 10 IP Build 17046 Serial number is 0ee5:5bba
    Directory of C:\Windows\System32\*.sys

    2/21/2016 21:54 51,120 ambakdrv.sys
    2/21/2016 21:52 171,952 ammntdrv.sys
    2/25/2016 22:26 38,320 ampa.sys
    9/01/2017 17:12 38,320 amwrtdrv.sys
    1/19/2017 4:53 477,184 win32k.sys
    1/19/2017 4:53 2,045,440 win32kbase.sys
    1/19/2017 4:53 3,580,928 win32kfull.sys

    Agreed

Occams Razor principle - the simplest answer is usually correct.
Yes. That along with Murphy's law will allow more success. Why we humans complicate things is beyond me.

The next build is probably the first RS4 build with a really significant nrw feature in Timeline. It is a big feature and brand new to us, so it hardly surprising that things have been delayed.
They also mentioned the update data processing problem early on in today's webcast, but I couldn't hear the particulars. The sound was terrible for me. Perhaps someone will have the particulars.

They need a better mic/sound system with those. Mics sitting on the table is not cutting it. They should have lapel mics. They're also all over the place with no real format to follow. Somewhat off the cuff and spontaneous. The cat girl interrupts others in the middle of sentences quite often. I can understand being somewhat informal, but that's just all over the place.

Hi, Marty. I have a slew of them in my FCU here. I'll have to wander over to my Insider to check there, but something doesn't seem correct with your search results.

It was not a search Tony. It was a directory listing! Here it is again using command.com

    C:\Windows\System32>dir *.sys
Volume in drive C is Windows 10 IP Build 17046
    Volume Serial Number is 0EE5-5BBA

    Directory of C:\Windows\System32

    11/19/2017 04:53 AM 2,045,440 win32kbase.sys
    11/19/2017 04:53 AM 3,580,928 win32kfull.sys

I was quite amazed when I did a directory listing of my Windows Server 2016 system (using ConEmu console with tccle installed) This definitely needs more investigating. Hoping I can reboot to Windows Server 2016 since installing a Docker Windows Server container apparently took up more disk space than I expected. I am also going to work with Docker for Windows 10.

    [E:\Windows\System32]dir *.sys

Volume in drive E is Windows Server 2016 Standard Serial number is 8e40:be
    Directory of E:\Windows\System32\*.sys

    9/30/2013 14:26 19,152 pwdrvio.sys
    9/30/2013 14:26 12,504 pwdspio.sys
    12/13/2016 23:46 206,848 win32k.sys
    11/17/2017 22:28 1,518,080 win32kbase.sys
    11/17/2017 22:27 3,616,256 win32kfull.sys

You got me VERY curious about this so I did a "dir *.sys" of my \System32 directory too. Here's what I got...
