Yes my HP laptop has just had one massive update, updated the BIOS and all the other software, also being as I have also an HP3830 all in one printer updated the software for that as well. At the moment all seems faster and all working well.

Nothing yet from Acer for my Gateway, nor from Lenovo for my two laptops.

You can now buy a Dell with IME disabled apparently. Costs an extra $20.

In the wake of those disclosures, the IME has come under fire as a fundamentally insecure system. When eagle-eyed customers found the following configuration options under three Dell systems — the Dell Latitude 14 Rugged, the Latitude 15 E5570, and the Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet, it seemed to confirm that the company was preparing to offer this feature to a wider customer base.

Sorry if it is old news but it was Christmas.

I did my Lenovo Lappy quite a while back, Anak. It's a Flex 4 1470. They have lots and lots of firmware updates listed.

I was going to look for the list of firmware updates I used, but I'm on my desktop and Lenovo wants me to be logged in with my Lenovo product or they won't show anything.

    I'm not really sure I like that attitude . . .

Thanks Wynona, the wife uses the flex4-1470 while I have the ideapad 110 151SK. Being logged-in may be the answer to my not seeing either as I do more (like now) with my 7 desktop machine.

I understand it, but I'm not fond of their attitude either.

Yeah, I use the desktop for almost everything and the laptops for when travelling or reading Kindle books.

Asus G11CD-K Fixed via the released on Christmas Me Driver/Firmwire update tool, I really wasn't expecting the Update til January 2018 as the Asus Support page said on Intels one page, but guess it came early

Still have to update my NEW Intel based HP Omen Gaming Laptop, I expected a lot of updating to do on that one, I hope it updates as easy as the Desktop did, but if it ends up being bios update, know I can do it, just takes reading the directions, and should go all smoothly lol, I know a long time ago in 2012 updated my old Desktop bios via HP support assistant, then machine wouldn't boot anymore, so I hope I don't end up with this problem with laptop, don't think I will, but never know
