    What's this?
Installed Intel(R) Capability Licensing Service Client is obsolete. Minimum required version is 1.47.715.0. Please update the Intel(R) Capability Licensing Service Client software (available from your system manufacturer).

I'm guessing I don't need to worry about the issue on this ole gateway sx2801 .... it doesn't have Intel ME installed and there won't be any bios updates for it ... lol

It means the MEI firmware requires updating.

Gigabyte confirmed my suspicion that line #2 of the F7 BIOS in the USA was added later as shown by two different locations...

    Gigabyte USA....
    Attachment 165814

    Gigabyte Global....
    Attachment 165815.
LOL - I see Gigabyte removed the verbiage from the USA site about the F7 BIOS fixing the IME issue...

Hopefully they're about ready to roll out a new BIOS that actually fixes the IME issue now.

It doesn't seem to have done anything for my Lenovo Flex 4-1470. No flashes, etc.

I clicked on the proper app and nothing at all happened.

OK, I found the problem; Lenovo made a boo boo . . . their original instructions said:

    Installing the package in Windows.
    ======================
Please follow bellowed step to update ME in Windows:
    1. Locate the file 0vme01ww.exe that has been downloaded.
    2. Double click the 0vme01ww.exe icon.
    3. Follow wizard UI by making sure what ME to flash and flash on what platform.
    4. Finally press Install & Finish to start flashing. During the process, you are advised not to turn off the computer.
    5. When the update finishes, the computer will automatically reboot for the changes to take effect.

#2 does not work as written; instead, you have to:

    2. Right click the 0vme01ww.exe icon and select “Run as Administrator”.

After that, things will progress as they should.

Oh! Which reminds me! I guess I have to get the 17" HP Lappy out of the closet, check to see if she's affected, do the update, cuz she probably is, then catch her up to date on Insider Builds.
