    Hi,

    - Is it true that under Windows 10 Pro one can escape this vulnerability after enabling Hyper-V in Windows features? Perhaps due to this?
@Joanne: I do not think that it will offer much protection in this case because the flaws are in the Intel chips.
Besides that the idea behind IUM is as follows )as I'm sure you've read) :

This new software architecture creates a security boundary to prevent processes running in one VTL from accessing the memory of another VTL. The benefit of this isolation includes additional mitigation from kernel exploits while protecting assets such as password hashes and Kerberos keys.

Gigabyte just posted the BIOS update on its site within the past hour. Patched and vulnerability no longer exists.

My desktop is vulnerable. I checked the manufacturers site and no bios updates available. I'm going to check the ASRock site and see if they have a update. I still need to check the other computers.

Just checked the Gigabyte website and found a new BIOS update for my B250M-D3H motherboard running an i5-7600 Kaby Lake processor.

The information says “Update Intel ME for security vulnerabilities” so it looks like I’m covered.

When I built the PC back in July the motherboard only had the F2 BIOS (bought the board in April). Since then I’ve updated it to F6 then F7 and now F8. At least the BIOS updating is easy these days… just copy the BIOS files to a USB stick and update using Q-Flash.

So far I'm batting a thousand. I've checked two of my desktops. Both are vulnerable. Both do not have a new update for the bios. I have one more desktop and three laptops to go.

Possibly search for your motherboard model would be best, I searched for my G11CD pre built system model number, as don't know what exact board is in this system, nothing though

I have been just doing that and did find exact results for the motherboard but no mention of updates. My system was a custom build originally and after the power supply blew this past spring the MB had to be replaced...so Intel replaced my long time use of AMD..I wonder how those who are vulnerable will be informed when there is a download available?
