Have you seen this page? ASRock: Support Information

For everyone else, scroll down a bit Here and you'll see a large list of manufacturer's support pages.
Yeah, a few months ago, but did you notice that my motherboard is H97?

    Dear Customer,

The ME update is not for H97 motherboard.

    Thank you for your understanding!

    Best Regards,

Yes I did notice, all I wanted to do is point out the page in case you may have missed it.

Are you going to continue the conversation with asrock tsd to find out if they will get around to an update for your board? From the reply you received it looks like their not going to and for a 2year old? MB that seems cruel.

I was finally able to update my Acer Spin laptop this morning. I hadn't check for the update in awhile so I decided to check and the 2 updates needed were available. Now I need to check with HP and PowerSpec for updates.

If I can I will check for updates for my HP desktop later today. If it's like my Acer Spin there will be 2 updates.

My desktop is AMD, but since we've heard there could be problems with AMD too, I hope they won't lag too long.

It wasn't easy but I managed to find and install the update. The HP Support Assistant was no help at all. I found the fix at these two links. Solved: Intel(R) Management Engine Vulnerability - Page 2 - HP Support Forum - 6430548 and the download was here HPSBHF03571 rev 2 - Intel Management Engine Cumulative Security update and fix for WPA2 vulnerability | HP® Customer Support When I found my computer the link did not work. They spelt the address wrong. in one part of the link they used SP instead of sp. I opened the link in a new window and got the page error. I made the change in the address bar and the file downloaded. :) I almost hit the panic button when my computer restarted. I got a disk error and it wanted me to run a check of the disk by hitting F2. I hit the F2 and when the menu screen loaded I hit exit and my computer restarted and loaded Windows without any problems. Now when I run the Intel security check program my computer is no longer vulnerable.

Yay, Winuser! So, no BIOS update? Just the stuff for the Intel one?

That's all that was available. I think it's a combined update. There was a popup stating that they are working on a fix for the latest risk Meltdown and Spectre.
