The variable %ScriptDir% contains the final backslash. But every time it is referenced the command has been written as: %ScriptDir%\%tmpfile% when it should be %ScriptDir%%tmpfile%

There is a workaround to remove that backslash directly from the path, but I don't remember what has to be coded, and I don't know how much else gets broken if the variable is changed
I got so far simply by hardcoding the directory rather than changing scriptdir variable.

Then it failed on githubtmp directory not being found. So I wondered if githubtmp should be just github. Changed this and then it deleted all my files - in github directory - LOL. Back to drawing board - LOL.

Simply use Find and replace in Notepad for update.cmd

    Search for: %scriptDir%\%tmpfile%
    Replace with: %scriptDir%%tmpfile%

    then also

    Search for: %scriptDir%\src
    Replace with: %scriptDir%src

Then all should work as espected.

Actually, I have just found out I screwed up as I did not use the download button from github (I missed the link), but manually created the scripts using notepad. It turns out there are more files downloaded. Once I clicked on download files, everything works perfectly.

    Thanks anyway!

EDIT - wow this tool is the canine fluffy bits. It downloaded all the files at full speed of my internet. It took me a couple of goes to learning how to use tool, but easy enough.

In future, I will use this to create iso, and upgrade.

@ cereberus I was doing the same thing with Notepad. I didn't even see the download button. I take it that we just need to use the ESD to ISO program on the Professional_en-us.esd file? And yes, the download was very fast.

Since when Msconfig > Selective startup doesn't work ?? It always resets to Normal Startup.

Maybe cause it's Insider. MS locked what services can/must run (telemetry data gathering ) :)

Is anyone having BSOD/GSOD issues when updating?

@cereberus Were you able to make the ISO? I keep getting a error about the ESD not being a original MS ESD file.
