OK Insider Team. Here is build 17037 up on buildfeed.
    10.0.17037.1000 (rs_prerelease.171107-1443)

How do I get it? Did it work with AMD? BTW build 17041 is already up as the latest canary? Does it work? Why is the no information from D.S. Did she get lost in a Lisbon bar or something? Yes I'm pissed and the blithe atttude of a few on this forum is disconcerting.

Went smoothly until BAM! Unexpected kernel mode trap.
Rebooted and the same again. Now I'm in a bind but at least I had a dual install so I can type this and hopefully receive a solution.
Sorted it out. Safe mode then uninstalled a couple programs I suspected caused the issue.

Went smoothly from 17035 except that the software raid drive showed up as RAW in disk management. So I rolled back straight away and all is good again with the raid and data. Took about 30 minutes to install 17040 no issues except the raid very quick to roll back maybe 10 minutes tops if that really.

Had some friends over list night and after they left about half past midnight I didn't check for updates. This morning I heard about update so had to do some fast cleaning, checking and backing up system. Started update at 9AM and here it's downloading at good clip of 32Mbps at average, will see what happens next.
As for slow speed of updating some are talking about, I think that update is not taking advantage of system resources, Using only one to two cores/threads out of 6/12 available, 2 -3 GB of RAM from 16 and only couple % of fast SSD bandwidth.
Presumably that may be to be able to use computer during update but quite unnecessary as during that time, specially later stages, machine is unusable anyway.
Update started at 09.20, downloaded by 09.38 when actual update started. Right now using very little of system resources. Would be much faster if they are used properly.

Problem updating to new 17040 Build

    Good morning all...

I've experienced complete failure on updating to 17040 for about 12 hours now. My computer(s) seem to be in a "Download/Install" loop in Settings/Update. My PC(s) don't seem to have a problem connecting to Windows Update and downloading the update files...will reach 100% with no problem, then switches to "Installing". When it hits 100% there, it switches back to "Downloading" again, and the loop begins/continues.

I've tried to create an ISO from the UDP files many times in the last 12 hours, but if fails with this error...

Seems one file isn't downloading. I've left both my PCs running for the past 12 hours, but no luck. Same error in the ISO creation every time.

Can anyone give me some insight how to circumvent this issue, or send me a link to a 17040 ISO?

    Thanks...

Well, the upgrade seemed to go fine, but I've just noticed that every single shortcut on my start menu for non-Windows Store apps have disappeared. Also, Paint seems to have disappeared entirely.
