I've sent email to them. Not wanting to step on Dick's toes but doing it because I was asked to.
Posted this earlier (tweets from https://twitter.com/KariTheFinn/stat...94931536228352):
Had to step out for a bit. AMD 17025 to 17040 went smoothly. About the usual 1-1/4 hours. Didn't have too much on it, for I clean installed the other day, though. Updating the inch worm Acer now.
I was rearranging tiles on my Start Screen, which went well, but about a third of my tiles have no title nor icons on them even after a reboot.
Sat down at my machine to find it waiting to restart so don't know how long to get to that state. However, 13 min from there to desktop sure was fast.
All smooth so far.
No problem with Start tile titles, here, Hippsie.
Thanks for that, linw. :)
I forgot to perform the reg hack to get back on Skippy after the clean install the other day. After I did that after this update is when it happened. Rebooting a few times didn't help. SFC, which reported nothing, then and another reboot a no go. Restored the image, rebooted, and all is fine now. :)
Acer at the restart finally.
Went smoothly until BAM! Unexpected kernel mode trap.
Rebooted and the same again. Now I'm in a bind but at least I had a dual install so I can type this and hopefully receive a solution.
