Well, I'm late to the show. I'll have to meander over to my IP partition. For AMD finally too I see. :)

I might break my previous record today. Since December 2016 and beginning of UUP, I've never had upgrade ready for restart (Restart now button to appear) under three hours, record time at the moment being 3:15.

    LOL!

Bandwidth is not an issue, the download comes at full speed, being the fastest part of the process. I do not have a faintest clue what it is that makes my upgrades so slow.

Checking Task Manager, it's not a resource issue. Windows Setup (Modern Setup Host) is only using 2 to 6% CPU, writing to disk really slow (3 to 8 MBps).

Writing speed here was around 80 to 90 MBps. Dig in that direction... Is this in VM? What happened on that December 2016..

I can't find any reason why upgrade, the Modern Setup Host process writes to disk so slowly.

No, an Asus laptop. Weird thing is until a month and a half ago I was using another Asus laptop until it just died, this one is almost similar, refurbished directly from Asus with warranty. Two Asus / Intel / NVidia) laptops, both working just fine (until the first one died ), both taking from four and a half hours to 7 hours to upgrade (three and a half to over 5 hours to "Restart now", then about 90 minutes to restart and to get to upgraded desktop).

Microsoft stopped delivering feature / build upgrades as ESD and switched to UUP. I never had any issues with ESD upgrades, it was an hour to hour and a half including the restart phase.

Does not look good, I guess I will not break record tonight as I thought earlier:
