    Win7/win8.1/win10

strange things happening after this update.
chrome processes no longer shows on the background process section. its grouped together in apps sections.
    same with firefox
steam takes long time to start.. I start it and nothing happens for a lest 30 seconds. nothing shows in task manager that its starting. and then it starts and same as chrome. no background processes and group together in apps sections.

steam client bootstrapper and webhelper normally listed in background process are now grouped together in apps...

    edit:

i dont know maybe it supposed to look that now. but still having the steam problem

    edit:
weird after updating my gpu drivers, steam now starts instantly.

The grouping in Apps is normal now for 16199 - FCU. Yeah, keeping drivers up to date can do wonders!

Example of Apps grouping on my box:

But Windows-10 is working great, so I won't complain. What I'm waiting EAGERLY and impatiently for, is the Edge Browser to have more options and flexibility for navigating and printing.

Thank-you for replying so thoroughly, bo elam.

You could use winver to see if you are on the current branch, 1709 16299.64.

    Hello everyone,

    I'm still at 16299.19
When I run Windows Updates, I get "Your device is up to date." Been waiting since Tuesday for things to change and it hasn't.

    I'm located in South Asia.

Should I download and install 16299.64 manually from Microsoft Update Catalog?

First thing to check if you get "Your device is up-to-date" is either "winver" in the run box. It should indicate that your are at Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.64) or your update history where you should see KB4048955. Then, if none of those are present, you should try the Microsoft Update Catalog.
