Maybe its because I have the FALL CREATORS UPDATE already installed, but this is the first "Patch Tuesday" fix/update in YEARS that didn't require a restart. (Though I restarted anyway, just to be sure.)

You'd almost think that nothing happened because of this update, because the computer restarted quickly and didn't freeze for 30 seconds after the restart. No "installing updates...please wait" during the restart process either. Very strange, but I'm not complaining.

This one DID require a restart. Maybe it didn't work for you.

I got the FCU on my Lenovo Miix 320 tablet. Why the full layout touch keyboard disappeared? It was on version 1703, why not any more?

They bloody removed it but only reinstated after complaints for a few languages. I have to have eng-us as well with my default en-gb.

They have added it back for a lot of new languages including en-gb and Finnish in insider version.

Whether we have to wait until next Spring, who knows!

You can run osk.exe to get standard keyboard as a workaround.

I had several systems hang trying to do the initial restart on the Windows Update screen. Error message 0x8024a11a. I ended up having to do a manual restart. Everything then installed ok.

...the Software Removal Tool stated for "...Windows Insider Preview and Server Technical Preview November 2017". These versions are regular retail. Strange.

Oh, but they do - and I have just got both (go figure)...

I have on my Teclast X98 Plus tablet Insider 17035 version with excellent touch keyboard. I am planning to install the same on the Lenovo, only because of the keyboard.

    Hi,

On Ocober 10th the same similar update was installed according to my Update History. Very strange.

When I updated to the Fall Creators Update, Windows doesn't calculate the size on my recently installed apps under Start, apps and functions. Is this normal or is it a bug? The previous installations done on the CU is calculated correctly, but not on FCU.

My laptop is stuck at "We couldn't complete the updates, Undoing changes" loop while trying to install this update. Does anyone have a solution?

Event viewer shows this: "Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: 2017-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for amd64-based Systems (KB4048955)."
