    Rather sad you having to go way over the top in what I can only describe as over emphasis to make a point....
    I had already replied to Kari,s post which you obviously ignored.

    You do have a habit of putting yourself in the firing line - do not be surprised if people react to it e.g. which you obviously ignored. We all miss posts and get wrong end of stick now and then.

    Lol, he did it intentionally to see if it can be bypassed or run in a VM.
    No, he did not know that the installation failed due to the AMD processor as he says in this comment:

    So, I was right, he did not read the release notes on the first page.

    YW! Yes, dir C: should give you the first level contents of your C: drive, same as highlighting C: in Explorer. It's just assurance that Windows.old is gone before you boot back into Windows.

    @linw

    It's the one in the taskbar, not Online or Store App....they are fine.

    Attachment 163030
    Can be solved by clicking Winkey, in All Apps scroll down to Onedrive, right click to pin on taskbar and open, this also makes original icon work.

    What does that have to do with this below??
    Microsoft will release build 17035 to AMD PCs when the bug has been fixed so it won't brick AMD PCs.
    Intel has a long history of manipulating several detrimental companies, and industry standards to put AMD into constant disadvantages. This has allowed them to have almost a monopoly and price gouge all of us for decades, and M$ has been complicit on many occasions. This could be an innocent thing, but given the history I wouldn't put anything past them.

    I've had mostly success with updates; however, there have been times when I couldn't update.

    So, from your assessment, those few times an update wasn't successful were caused by myself, yet I did nothing different on each failed update attempt than I did on each successful update attempt.

    Sorry, but I can't buy it.
    I agree with your sentiments Wyonna. This current build 17035 failed due to an incomptability with AMD processors proves the fact that blaming others for a failure to be able to upgrade is foolish. The current Fast Ring build is 17035 but the current Canary is 17037 compiled Tues the 7th. So Microsoft should release the build they compiled today next Weds or so. That would be 17040; In my case I could not install 17035 because it wasn't offered on about 7 different Windows IP build 17025 I've installe including 3 Hyper-V VMs. When a colleague offered an ISO he built it would not get past the initial reboot. I could go for further testing while I

    You need not buy into other people who are dissing you. I've only now learned that. Basically they are assholes. Don't warn me for bad language Brink - "asshole" is now a valid philosophical word.

    Don't take this personally*, but assholes seem to be everywhere lately, and we need a rigorous theory to account for and deal with them. In the spirit of the mega-selling On Bullshit, philosopher Aaron James has done just that, providing us all** (in Aristotelian terms) with some much-needed catharsis.
