A quote from an earlier post of yours in another thread:

Referring to quote below, did you find out if your PC was cursed, or what self inflicted reason caused that failed update in your case?

I did not state I never had problems.....I repeat Never did I fail to update...and yes I solved the single endless loop reinstallation without the help of a witchdoctor......Percentage wise 1 in 100 is commendable.

Anyone else having this issue, please upvote in Feedback Hub (not my feedback, I've just upvoted). There seems to be at least two threads:

Just did on first one. Second one I did yesterday, as POP P. Another MS tricky quirk. First 5 characters of your nickname.....sound familiar?

Hmm. Seems like they placed a time limit when checking for updates. Used to be at will. Anyone else notice that?

Edit: Never mind. I closed it out and reopened. Back to pinging that server. :)

It seems that both this update and the old one made it unable to remove the Windows.old folder through disk cleanup.

Now I got 2 Windows.old folders. Any help on how can I delete them?

If you can't do it in Windows boot up with a Linux live CD (Ubuntu, Mint, Puppy, etc.)

I'm having issues with downloaded *.exe files. I downloaded BOINC and SETI. They were saved without the .exe and will not run.

However downloaded HexChat and it ran.

    I'll try further downloads.

Tried downloading Plex. It won't run.

Got rid or mine with Unlocker 1.9.2 The previous version of Unlocker which I had had failed. Downloaded from Major Geeks but still had to quit Malwarebytes because of that blasted Delta options to untick when installing.

Took hours to install this upgrade on an Intel Core Duo and as I was busy I'm sure it downloaded and installed twice. The second time successfully.

I don't have any problem with couple of issues reported by others.

One Drive opens normally from Chrome and windows.old deleted fine with disk cleanup.

27 hours later and MSFT hasn’t been able to restore availability to large AMD customer base. I find that really interesting, yet annoying
