I figure CountMike was just being silly; don't know about the second one, though. Kinda strong accusations.
I realize they are going to fix it, they said so. Shouldn't take them long. I was also wondering if 17017 failed me for same reason on Ryzen system while it worked on Phenom II system. I would like to know the reason for all of that.

17017 failed to install here, too. And I'm on Intel.

installed and so far had 2 problems the one I have on every update synaptic touchpad not working as windows update always installs older drivers that don't work and one drive was a mess but it sorted it's self out and is now working
put ver. 19 synaptic driver on to get touchpad to work.
    sfc /scannow showed no problems
    hopefully it will all work

Anyone else seeing that UWP apps can't access the Internet?

Update: Found that this was because the upgrade switched my network profile from its normal Private to Public, which for whatever reason killed all UWP connectivity (by design?!).

3 VMs on Linux - all failed to update

    1) VMware WS 12.5.7 VM 1

This VM had a time sync problem before I started to update - which I believe must have started overnight. The VM time was 5 hrs earlier than the real time. Changed the time manually and tried to sync to the Internet. Failed to sync to time.microsoft, com but DID sync to nist.gov
Then checked Insider Programs and got this Announcing Windows 10 Insider Fast+Skip Ahead Build 17035 for PC-windows-10-rs4-2017-11-08-15-06-48.png As you can see I tried the suggested command and it completed successfully - but DID not work tochange the Insider Preview Level That behavior has been confirmed on this forum. Got a Defednerupdate and that's all

    2) Another VM Ware VM Build VM

Changed this VM from a Local to MSA. Verification of my Identity via and email code work. Tried to change to Skip but it reverted and had to change to Fast. No Build up.

    3) Virtualbox VM.

This VM was one hour slow. Changed time manually but this time niether time.windows.com OR time.nist.gov worked. Screenshots.

The Time Sync problem which occured in the first few builds of rs3 ( and I pointed it out first on this forum anyway) now appear to be broken in the first builds of rs4. I will make a screenshot of this post then boot into my physical machine and see if I can update there. I had to make room on the physical by uninstalling OneDrive even though I'm only using 10 GB our of the 1TB that is availabe to me throught my Office 365 subscriptions.

All 3 Virtual Machines are paused and I will resume them by and by. Now for Windows 10 on the physical machine (I have Hyper-V VM's of build 17025 on the physical machine as well. Here are the 7 Dwarfs singing Heigh Ho when they worked as unpaid testers in the Insider's Program

How long before AMD users get a chance to play?

I have now repartitioned an Intel computer and tried to get insider installed on my clean partition and in the process screwed up that computer- which was running FCU — guess It’s been too many years since I have had to set up insider that I have forgotten and now have a non-functioning computer. HELP. ANYONE?
