Is this new - 'Show sync status', bottom of the View Tab in File Explorer Options?...

Indeed it does look new. I was in my FCU when I saw this and checked. It is not there. OneDrive always had its sync status column. I wonder if this is for network folders sync status?
I haven't noticed any difference in the navigation pane with it turned on or off so far.

Is there no one else having the problems I’m having?

Or is there someone who can help with this problem?

If not let’s see if the next release version will eliminate it

Hi there. Is it a blue or green screen you get? Do you format it upon clean install? Do you have secure and fast boot turned off?

Thanks, Shawn. I've not seen anything either. Perhaps it's an option placed there that they are working on and not yet complete.

Thanks mate, no blue or green screen it just freezes and can’t load the circling dots underneath the windows logo, I’ve even left it on overnight while stuck on the logo but still no good
Yes I have tried formatting and deleting method when given the option which hard dist to install on
And secure and fast boot was turned off

I’m tempted to download an ISO from a third party and try that but couldn’t find a trusted site

To be sure > The first phases of updating complete? > This is right after first restart/reboot, yes? If so, something is not triggering it to proceed further (obviously). I'm thinking it's suppose to start loading files into memory? Somewhat later in the bootstrapping process?

What comes to mind is telling me to try to reseat your memory strips and the HD you installed. You also should keep it UEFI/GPT scheme.

I have a somewhat similar problem with my older Acer. When I boot it up > F12 for BIOS boot choice > Choose the ISO thumb > The Start flag screen appears and it takes 5 or 6 minutes for the circling dots, then the OOBE screen to appear. I think it's loading files into memory, of which is only 2GBs.

the only problem I have had with a similar situation where the boot freezes had to do with a corrupt UEFI boot setup. I cannot remember the details, though. I just remember having to wipe the whole disk clean and re-installing from the latest downloadable version of windows at the time and then upgrading to the latest version of windows.

I just reread your previous notes. So you are using the same machine where you have successfully downloaded fall cu and no problems. Hmmmmm. You said you installed win version latest download with no problem. After installing that version, run Sfc /scannow. Then run dism /online /cleanup-image / restorehealth. See if all is well with that version. If error messages, maybe you need to re-download that version of windows again. Then repeat. Something is corrupt somewhere.

Thanks mate, between 17017 and 17025 i must have downloaded and tried to update or install over 30 times. I do wait for the first phase of updating to be completed then click either restart now or create a bootable UUP to ISO.

The odd thing is 1629 ISO I’ve downloaded from MS has installed and is working perfectly.

This problem has only started with the release of 17017 and 17025; I’ve never had a problem like this before until the last two releases
