When I have time I will complete a script that removes all that remaining crap, since so many have issues with those folders, including me from time to time.
Thanks, Slice. A automated .ps1 file script would be great.

Eagle51 just posted a Command script for it. Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast+Skip Build 17025 for PC Insider - Page 7 - Windows 10 Forums

That command will only work sometimes. It is much more complicated than that. :)

I'll try to write a PS module that is a hybrid of PS and CMD. It should do the job. Do you want colors too, or just plain boring blue-white?

LOL! Can you automate to change the colors for each Holiday?

    Halloween

    Our Thanksgiving

    Christmas

There's more, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Hahhah! Sure, if that is what is important when deleting folders.

Ok - just clean installed 17025 and noticed a few things

    1) It creates an Edge desktop icon now - more Edge pushing.

    2) If I put taskbar on side, it is nearly two inches thick!

EDIT: Just discovered 16299.10 does this as well.

    3) Every so often, I get a residual trace of a task scroll bar on desktop after using settings menus. I need to click on it to go away.

As an aside, I installed, and joined Fast Ring, and made sure all all apps were updated, and saved version numbers.

I then did registry edit to move to skip ahead, and rebooted, and quite a few apps got updated further. So I agree - skip ahead is still alive in terms of apps.

Just unlock Taskbar and resize it.

I've said this before, I'll say it once again: Fast and reliable way to remove "unremovable" Windows.old folders is to boot to Command Prompt and run command rd /s /q C:\Windows.old.
