This is an excellent piece of software. Thank you so much for posting the link. I'd never heard of it before, but found a ton of interesting information. I was thinking the sys I recently built was starting to lag a bit, but according to this report, it rocks! My graphics card score was the highest I saw on the website! Wow! I posted a few screen shots of the results below. Well the mount and upgrade method didn't work
I’ll try the format and fresh install next
After I go through all the suggestions here

Looks like this machine might well be incompatible with 17017 and 17025

I’ve tried to do a fresh install using all the three options of partition schemes offered by Rufus but the machine just won’t load, still gets stuck on the windows logo

Yet 16299 ISO loads and install without any problems whatsoever

Conclusion, if I don’t find a workaround I guess I’ll have to reluctantly drop out of the insiders preview builds

I wasn't able to update to 17017 on my brand new Ryzen system yet worked fine on much older Phenom II x4, go figure !!! 17025 works on both.

So sorry — you Tried just about everything. Don’t drop out; the next build may work — i’m Using an old vista generation laptop as one of my test machines. So far it’s still slowly working. So keep the faith, the next build may work.

Thanks mate, I won’t give up without a fight but as you say I’ve tried just about everything
Funny thing is even though the machine is old it still is very fast, faster than even most of the ones I’ve tried in PC world

Have you tried disabling ALL hardware in BIOS you do NOT need during installation phase? That includes extra USB controllers, LAN, WLAN etc...leaving bare minimum for operating a screen, mouse and keyboard.

    That could solve your issue...
