That's odd - I've just upgraded the two systems in 'My Computers' below with media made by the official release of the MCT. Both upgraded to 16299.15 without issue.

Checking for updates, the x64 system got the Flash update KB4049179 and this Cumulative update KB4043961. The x86 system only got the Flash update (both got Defender definition updates as well).

Edit: Just checked again, x86 found another Defender definitions, but still no sign of KB4043961.

The latest MCT is the 1709 16299.19 OS Fall Creators Update. Installs over previous win 10 build, no 1703... I have tried all previous so called MCT, ISOs esd conversions, insider bs. nothing has gone stable except the MCT from about 30 mins ago. Peace hope yours works.

Actually, the latest MCT is 16299.15, not .19.

At least that's what I have.

First PC I did came in at 15 and I had to get the cumulative update, second PC, the Cumulative must have been got during the install as it finished at 19 and I just got the non cumulative updates. Used the ISO method so not a different MCT if anyone was wondering.

Done smooth and easy from windows update. all works fine. First change I saw was the recovery drive! I wish it could be a partition in hdd and not usb!

Feel like you been in combat with this one? Then you're not alone. Not sure if i am getting money's worth on this either. Time...we shall see. The upside. I learned how to completely blow up many installation attempts with help from all over the place and finally MS releases a stable update (here anyway) that actually installed and updated itself like it is supposed to. I'll probably do the same next time. Peace.

Here is an annoying change. If you run an older version of media creation tool to download older version, it no longer works. You just get a message to update mct, and are sent to FCU download page.

Hello guys, I did this 1709 update today and it took kind of long time. On the other hand, I had no issues so far. Gonna check, what's new in this build.
    Good luck with update.

Just checked the iso size for both 32 and 64bit and it was 6,641,408 KB and that was exactly same size as one I downloaded a few days ago using the trick posted here, thus confirming no changes since then.
I have a 32/64 bit USB made by that trick and used it for testing but, just in case, made a new USB with the official MCT to upgrade my main machine. They appear identical too.

Have you checked the editions included yet? Dism /get-wiminfo shows the install.esd (at least, the one I made for English International) now contains Home, Pro , S, Education (and the 'N' version of each) plus Home single language. The sizes shown for each edition are the same in the official release as they were when I checked the early 'leaked' one. If you want to compare for yourself, I attached the early Dism results here:
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Pro/Business, version 1709 coming soon

Note that the index numbers to use for Home and Pro have changed - Home is 3 and Pro is 8 now.

Has anyone with a 32-bit non-Insider PC checked for updates and found KB4043961 yet? The 32-bit one doesn't seem to be available through windows update yet (perhaps MS forgot to add it to the list). Last night...

It still doesn't show when checking for updates on the 32-bit machine.
