That also is easily done.
This tutorial will show how to clean install with partitioning options without any external install media like USB flash drive or DVD: Clean Install Windows 10 without DVD or USB Flash Drive Installation Upgrade Tutorials
Good, point. That will be OK if all you ever do is upgrade from one build to another. No need for WinRAR though, just mount the ISO and run setup.exe. All to often unfortunately, upgrades cause issues. Issues that can be avoided with a clean install. Also, repairing your current install can get tricky if you can't access that ISO because your PC won't boot to Windows. There are many instances where having your install media on a thumb drive comes in handy.
I have the 64 bit version on a 8GB flash drive and it occupies 3.5GB so it should fit on a 4GB drive. I don't have any 4GB drives any more or I'd try it.
So I had delayed the schedule for the installing of the 1709 upgrade to Tue 31 but when that day came it did not prompt me that it would be installing and ever since I've been stuck with the Downloading stuck at 0% issue for any new updates and the Feature update to Windows 10, version 10 still says Requires a restart to finish installing. Guess I'll need to find a fix for that.
On a side note I also heard that the Fall Creators Update has been reported to have driver issues, particularly with Asus motherboards and some other brand. Does anyone know anything about that?
Re.side note - you need to be more specific. I heard ..... usually amounts to some random person on forum suggesting issue is the end of the world for all users becuase they had an issue. Also some other brand could mean anything.
Re. Main issue, make image backup so you can revert if you get issues, download fcu iso using media creation tool, mount as a drive and run setup.exe.
