1 & 2 didn't work and I had neglected to indicate I had already tried 3. I really think the problem is the message I get when I try to change permissions for the Windowsapps folder This access control entry is corrupt. Delete and create a new one
It looks simple. Windows is telling me what to do. But I have no idea where the access control entry is located.
A bit more info, I can now access the Windowsapps folder through a convoluted method. In Explorer if I do a search from C: Programs - Windowsapps I get nothing. If I search from C: Programs I am in and have full access to the contents. I was able delete Candy Crush, which I never use. I can also delete apps from All Settings - Apps.
I think I will continue to explore finding where the access control entry for the Winapps folder is located.
