You probably have it now but another option would have been to just download it from your Visual Studio Subscription (MSDN) Or, this time around, select the Both (32 bit and 64 bit) option on the MCT.

I think it depends on the options you are updating ... I've seen quotes of anything from 3 to 6 Gigabytes but not sure what was included in the actual downloads, ( some include 64/32 bit and or More than one edition )

Clicking Autoplay in Settings > Devices is crashing Settings on me. I get the busy circle for a second or two, then nothing happens. Then nothing is clickable, I have to close settings with the X. Clean install with MCT Thumb Drive. Accessing it from Control panel works fine though.

In Edge, go to the MCT download page, and press F12, Emulation and select the User agent string tab for Apple Safari (Ipad):

The address bar will change when you return to the download page:


As if you were not using a Windows OS, you will now be able to directly download an ISO disk image from that page by Select Windows edition Windows 10, Confirm, language etc.

Well, it's installed, over a new fresh install of 1703, which I wasn't happy with as so many legacy features were deprecated (like, where the hell is msconfig, or its alternative, for example?).

I'll see how this goes, and may also try it as an upgrade over my pre-1703 system backup, or my 8.1.1 backup (and yes, I still think 8.1.1 was, in many ways, a better OS).

The update itself was a piece of p*ss - took several aeons to download, but I ran it before I left for work this morning - got home around 1.30pm and it was done. No issues so far.

We shall see...
