Two days ago, it took me less than 20 minutes to clean install 1709.

I have long since turned it off.

I was still waiting for the 1709 update when I got the 11/2017 CU for 1703 on Nov. 14. The 1709 update arrived on Nov. 15. "Preparing to install" process ran into the wee hours, but the installation itself completed without any problems in two hours this afternoon. Everything seems fine so far. Since I'm at Build16299.64, I guess the update included the November CU as well. But I found tonight that two unidentified other updates failed to install today with error 0x8024001e. Sigh.
Maybe the unidentified other updates are just Windows Defender Updates. At this point, it would be a good idea to troubleshoot Windows Updates and try to check for Updates again after that.

Thanks for that suggestion. I'd run a check for updates after getting to Build 16299.64 and found and installed KB4048951 and KB4041994, but nothing else showed up. I ran the troubleshooter tonight and then another check for updates; none found, the system is up to date. There have been no further attempts to install the unidentified updates. So I guess that as far as Windows Update is concerned, there's no problem.

Well, if your build version is at 16299.64, that ought to mean you are up-to-date especially since you don't see anymore the unidentified updates with the error 0x8024001e. One can only assume that the problem has been resolved.

Just finished 1709 from Windows update. At 97% it appeared to be hung up for about an hour, then it took off and finished. Turned out OK but it was looking questionable for a while.

You can get ISO files for all versions using this very useful tool https://heidoc.net/joomla/technology...-download-tool

I understand the files are downloaded from official MS servers.

    All you need is Edge:
    Open Edge browser.
Search 'Windows 10 iso download' which will enable you to go to Download Windows 10 - the Windows 10 latest update & download page
press F12 key, and select Emulation in the lower half split browser screen and in the drop-down list of browser agent string select Apple Safari (IPad)

the top half of the browser screen will change (do not close the lower half of the screen, but you may undock it using the How to get the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update-image.pngbutton or Ctrl+P ):

scroll down the top half to reach the Select edition section, and select Windows 10, then confirm

scroll down to select your language, choose your language and confirm

finally select 64-bit or 32-bit download to suit your PC (most modern PCs use 64-bit (4.4GB download for English), older ones, PCs with small storage space, or less than 4GB RAM will probably use 32-bit Windows 3.2GB download)

after downloading you can close Edge or the F12 window

after downloading you can close Edge or the F12 window
If you click the dock/undock icon next to normal X shut window icon in top right hand corner, it puts the lower pane into a separate window, and when you have filled in user agent string, you can minimise window making it easier to use the browser window in full screen rather than half screen

Also, you only need to do this once as Edge remembers the setting.

It is so much simpler spoofing browser to be iPad compared with other browsers. Only minor isse is it does not have default android settings yet but you can custom fill in data I believe.
