    Why is the following happening?

    Attachment 159490

Has the ISO changed, has it been updated since the 17th?

My apologies IF this has been already mentioned-answered, I have not read the entire thread.

    Thank you.
The hash will be different every time you download it. File dates change etc. My MSDN ISO's have a fixed checkable hash code but the MCT doesn't.

Ah, I see, thank you. Is there any way then to verify that the ISO has downloaded in its integrity? Not that I have doubts, just asking..
I'll use the latest I have got to clean-install this week, anyway.

In the end, if it has not downloaded properly, it does not install.

I do believe the MCT does its own integrity check once it has downloaded all the files necessary to create the ISO. Other than that, no. Not that I know of.

I put it on right after upgrading to FCU and it was driving kinda crazy at the very beginning because I was receiving a notification about an executable being blocked every 5-10 minutes. The weird thing, it was almost always about an app belonging to Microsoft, like: OneNote.exe; iexplore.exe; snippingtool.exe and even some very well known app like AcroRd32.exe and Chrome.exe.

Now, as of this writing, things seem to have calmed down after I took the time to white-list most of them. So, I'll agree with you on the fact that it is still in its infancy or need a final polishing touch altogether in order for it to function properly. All in all, I prefer to have it on and feel safer now than being sorry later..
I found it was turned off by default on my computer. Now that I have it turned on I've had a few programs get blocked. It would be great if we could just click on allow program instead of searching for the programs exe.

    Hi,

Regarding the TPM 1.2 and 2.0 modules from either Intel or Infineon, there a known security issue (relatively minor) which Win 10 FCU now logs as an error.
I haven't checked with Itel as my machines use the Infineon ones but you should check as a TPM BIOS update should be available soon.

    Cheers,

Had to end up doing a clean-install to get the FCU on the HP laptop -- which, although I had to do the same for the AU, has been updating without problems since.

I did try to use Laplink's PC Mover to migrate stuff over but that was a disaster! I had used that earlier on a Win7 migration, but I'd not tried it on a Win10 migration. I ended up reformatting the partition and doing another clean-install and then reinstalling everything manually.

Two days of tedious work, but now it's performing better than ever.

Yep, sometimes only a clean install will solve a problem.

You can mount the ISO (or plug in the USB, if that's what you made) and use the command...
    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:F:\sources\install.esd
(sustitute your actual drive letter for 'F:')

This reads the install.esd and lists info about all the editions it contains. If it can read that there's little chance of it being corrupt.
