Windows 10: How to get the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

    How do I know if the media creation tool is downloading the fall creators update or just the creators update?

    If you download before 10AM PT, then it's not it.

    It'll also be announced here when officially available.

    You can check by running either one of these from the command line/elevated/

    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\sources\install.wim /index:1
    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\sources\install.esd /index:1

    E is the drive letter where you've mounted the ISO.

    And any-other link out there so far doesn't have it either. They're all old versions as far as I can tell.

    Hover cursor over mediacreationtool.exe. You will get a popup info screen that will either say 15063 or 16299.

    If it says 15063, you will have to download a newer version until it says 16299.

    Also, if the properties of the Media Creation Tool say this, it's old.
