I already have 16299.15, shouldn't final be 1709.xx ? That's ISO I'm awaiting as I want to drop out of Insider ring on second computer.

You can drop out now that FCU has been released then do an update to get 16299.19.

The install.esd made by the early leak of the MCT for 16299.15 includes (for English International media) Home, Pro, S and Education and their 'N' versions, plus Home (single language). Note that the index numbers are quite different, Home is 3 and Pro is 8 now. Whether the official release of the MCT will make the same install.esd remains to be seen....

I've seen - it does. We're all going to have to memorise a whole new set of index numbers to use. To see for yourself, run:

DISM /Get-WimInfo /Wimfile:<full path to install.esd>

Since I don't have official, original 16299.15 but only the one I made ISO thru Insider, I downloaded it using MCT and it downloaded "windows.iso", how to find out which exact version it is easiest way ?

The downloaded iso from MCT is a multi edition iso.

It contains normal, SL and N versions of Home, Pro and Education plu S version.

Basically everything except enterprise.

It will probably be 64bit versions unless you select 32bit or both.

This is absolutely horrible! I have been working on a clean image with version 1703 and I was almost done. After I installed 1709 it undid a lot of my customization AND reinstalled all the crap we don't want. UGH!!

Are they doing to release an actual business version without all the extra crap?? Sorry. I am just so frustrated.

That's why it's a good idea to make image backups before doing major updates. Then you can always go back to where you were.

The Media Creation Tool ISO will still have all those ones you don't want, Candy Crush etc. There is a separate Volume License ISO available via links in the first post. If you have a subscription to one those plans. I've downloaded it via my Visual Studio Subscription. I haven't done an install with it yet so I don't know if it has or doesn't have all the junk. It's Pro VL. Education VL and Enterprise VL. There is no 10 Home on that ISO as Home can not be Volume Licence Activated. That ISO is for Business/Corporate customers, and the one referred to in the first post. My other MSDN ISO (the non VL one) is the same as the MCT ISO, multi edition with all Editions except Enterprise.
