    Unable to reboot

Installed 17017 last night and all seemed fine. Turned off my desk side system as usual and this morning I can no longer reboot. I have been dual booting Win 7 Ultra on one SSD and Win 10 64 Pro Insider on a second SSD. At boot I can choose either operating system. Today it spins the start up icon 1/2 rotation and says "Page Fault in non page area Volsnap.sys." It also tries to repair and fails.

    Any idea for a fix?

    No go on skip ahead.
i have tried over and over on Skippy but cannot get an install. Goes all the way to last install screen, then errors out as disk write to nonwrite area. But it keeps loading. I’ve tried to iso install, same thing. This computer never gives me update/upgrade problems. Diskck no problem, SFC no probs, memory test, no problems.

I had problems last night. It downloaded but after a restart, it booted up back to 16299 without an error message.
It seems like a drive error so I scanned all partitions including the 2 hidden system partitions for errors, restart, re-download, installed. Done.

Lucky you. nothing worked for me, so I switched to RP and will rejoin later

Edit: did chkdsk found any errors?

getting same error with my install. Volsnap.sys is present in install folder. Pagefault error caused by volsnap.sys on my skippy build. No problem with other two fast builds. Never been issue before.

Readily installed on Fast and Skippy Insider boxes after MS got their problems fixed. Went through my usual routine of setting things up, cleaning up unneeded files and finally making Reflect backups. Both running smoothly with no apparent problems so far. :)

I guess I'll have to reinstall 16299.15. Not what I wanted to do. Burning the DVD right now.
