If it is still stuck after one hour at 22%, you can try to run Windows Update troubleshooter without shutting down or restarting the computer. That means you can run it while it is still downloading or installing. After the trousbleshooter is over and you go to check for updates, you should see "Updates are available". I restarted before I saw this, but I will try it if it doesn’t work this time. Now the download has started again at 0% Beyond frustrating.

Download hasn’t moved from 0%. No mention of any WU activity in Event Viewer. I’m not sure what to do.

Give a shot at what I have just mentioned in my previous post to see what gives..

Ran the troubleshooter, said check for pending updates. Same update sitting at 0%.

Went to the kitchen, came back and it was at preparing to install updates. Now the computer is ready to restart. What in the world?!

If you get to "Restart". That means you are good to go or almost. Glad it is finally working for you..

I’m back to the log in screen. Seems like it installed fine now. What a pain. Thanks so much for the help!
