My download has been stuck at 22% for awhile now. I’m getting worried.
If it is still stuck after one hour at 22%, you can try to run Windows Update troubleshooter without shutting down or restarting the computer. That means you can run it while it is still downloading or installing. After the trousbleshooter is over and you go to check for updates, you should see "Updates are available". At this point, you can try to install it again. I have tried it once and it worked for me.

I restarted before I saw this, but I will try it if it doesn’t work this time. Now the download has started again at 0% Beyond frustrating.

Download hasn’t moved from 0%. No mention of any WU activity in Event Viewer. I’m not sure what to do.

Went to the kitchen, came back and it was at preparing to install updates. Now the computer is ready to restart. What in the world?!

I’m back to the log in screen. Seems like it installed fine now. What a pain. Thanks so much for the help!
