It's easy to kill the downloading of it, just open up Task manager & kill the Update Orchestrator Service under Service Host: Local System.
From there just grab the update from the catalog on the OP & go from there.

Mine stopped downloading after 15 percent. I then disconnected my wireless adapter, plugged it back in, and reconnected to the internet, and it downloaded fine after that. All of the updates have done that since version 1511. So kind of annoying, but the updates got installed.

Microsoft's workaround for the time being is to go into the system BIOS and disable UCSI prior to applying the update.
