Reinstalled Windows 8.1 Pro on my one PC that was missing the DVD Player App. Then added Media Center and did the upgrade to Windows 10. After running windows update I now have the DVD Player app on that PC too. The irony was this was my Media Center PC connected to our main flat screen TV. And the only one of my 4 PC missing that App. The original upgrade to 10 was from windows 7 Ultimate. & Ultimate has Media center built in so I'm not sure why I didn't get the DVD Player App?

I had Asus DVD powered by Cyberlink and that's migrated over to 10, just been to check all apps. I only had 8 upgraded to 8.1.1 so never had the Media Centre, I've got Ashampoo Burning Studio which came over with the upgrade.

I use PDVD15 myself, but only for BD/DVD... for regular MP4, AVI, MOV, etc. videos I use VLC.
Hey Chris, do you play blurays with Power DVD 15? I ask since I don't believe it has a auto audio sync to video option. I have to set almost a half a second delay on the audio since it's out of sync with the video. DVD isn't as much of an issue.

VLC player is free and it will play DVD's. It will also play Blu Ray discs if you load an extra .cfg and .dll file. Google "VLC play Blu ray discs" for details about configuring VLC for playing Blu ray.

Here is the link where I learned about how to configure VLC to play blu ray discs:

Something like that? 8.1 Pro with Media Center got me the Windows DVD Player. Windows 7 Ultimate (that has Media Center built in) didn't?
I'm still showing Media Center and no Windows DVD Player.
