Guess I get screwed out of my DVD player for installing from ISO after the upgrade was (slightly) buggy.
I hope they come out with a Bluray player. It will be paid of course but it could maybe be licensed by manufacturers. Not sure how.
Hi I have Cyberlink PowerDVD15 and it does everything I want it too.
Got it at a knock down price with all the other apps that you normally pay for free instead of £190 on special offer for £40.
I use it all the time even to download and play my you tube video I like
So when I do install 10 now I know I wont bother downloading their DVD player.
I use PDVD15 myself, but only for BD/DVD... for regular MP4, AVI, MOV, etc. videos I use VLC.
The Windows DVD Player in All Apps works fine for playing DVD movies, just checked my recording of How The West Was Won that was recorded some time back from Turner Classic Movies, no issues.
Been using Cyberlink PowerDVD from 8.1 always liked it, of course not free, works Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD and many video files and music. Surprised Movies & TV App played .MKV as WMP never was able to, nice app too.
I won't buy Windows DVD player for only DVD playback on Windows 10. There are tons of handy freeware like KMPlayer VLC 5KPlayer.
