Ok insider geeks, if you were as impatient as I was, and did the trick that RFS linked and already upgraded your systems to the general release 1709 16299.15, there is a caveat you must know about (I just figured it out):

    information   Information
    warning   Warning
When you already upgraded, let it be known, this is not yet the general release, and is still theoretically an Insider build.

This means; if you want the cumulative update to 16299.19 and eventually to update to the general release, you will need to temporally join the Insider Program on that machine, to receive any future updates to Windows(other than Defender, which has it's own update system).

Just join(see tutorial): Start or Stop Receiving Insider Preview Builds in Windows 10 Windows Update Activation Tutorials Option One
and select "Just fixes, apps, and drivers"
    Cumulative Update KB4043961 Build 16299.19 for PC-image-001.png

You will then be able to download and install Cumulative Update KB4043961 Build 16299.19 for PC

    Tip   Tip
After General Release(RTM) of the Fall Update you can then stop getting Insider builds by using Option Two in the above linked tutorial.

Oh man, thanks for the tip. Does that mean after installing 1709 16299.15 and the official release build, we can get off the insider program. Then continue to get updates like normal?

Edit: Oh wait, I got my 1709 by temporarily joining the insider program, dling, installing, then leaving the insider program. I didn't use the media creation tool. Does this still apply to me?

    You're welcome:)
I just couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting the cumulative update, until I woke up this morning(sleep does wonders to the mind).

You need to stay on it, at least until Microsoft officially releases it to the general public(supposedly on next Tuesday, 17th of October).

Does anybody know if there is a way to grab an MSU-package of this KB4043961 ...or do I have to wait until the official release and then suck it down from MS-Catalog?

Here in The Netherlands our Privacy Watchdog has the word out to MS to ASAP change its current telemetry system, based on our privacy laws here. [emoji848]

I was on the Insider Preview program a while back. I've updated 2 of the 4 PCs in our household to 16299.15 with no problems, so I've just re-activated them both on the IP just with Release Preview. Now the .19 level installs with WU. I'll leave them there till next week and then probably stop insider builds.

Surely we already knew what MS was collecting.
