geeze gave me whiplash you were so fast. thanks, a lot very much appreciated
I just installed the update, man that was quick! Not only that but after I logged in all of my open programs before the reboot were reopened to the exact same place including Google Chrome with all open tabs. Awesome!
i'm afraid bitdefender had a cow over that link
This is the craziest roll out ever, but now I understand. Isn't recreational marijuana legal in the state of Washington?
so where is the link? in the dark here! Oh, never mind, it just came in. may have cleared up some stuff that MS will never admit was bad in the first place.

I only just got OneDrive FOD working again, reinstalled windows 7 games, turned off hibernation etc. I don't want to go through all that again. I'll wait and see if they figure out how to deal with people who legitimately left the program.
Incidentally - you were asking about this earlier - to make FOD work on 16299 you need OneDrive version 17.3.7064.1005 which can be downloaded from Microsoft here: OneDriveSetup.exe details here: New OneDrive sync client release notes - Office Support. It is "being rolled out" whatever that means.
Found the links on the feedback hub.
That's my plan too at the moment. It can only be a few days before the official release date so there should be something on non-Insider PCs before too long.
Thanks for the info - will give it a go over the weekend.
The curious thing is that even some older versions of the client before 17.3.7064 work with FOD, as long as the machine is still an Insider.
