By the way, anyone doing this for any PC's on Homegroup, don't forget, WHILE you are upgrading to leave another system on, so your Homegroup will automatically be carried over to the new Windows version.

It is a known bug, that if you only have the machine on tthat you are upgrading, your Homegroup setup on that machine will be lost, and you will then need to manually redo it then.

Very slow though - only 42% after 23 minutes. I can download 8 GB in that time.

After resolving my router crashing problems, I got my RP machine upgraded from 15063.674 to 16299.15 without issues. Running smoothly too...no issues to report so far!

this version 16299.15 has some real stability issues involving start menu interface and your choice of themes and colors. the windows shell experience host.exe has crashed at least 10 times in as many days. this renders your start menu, search, cortana and colors/ themes useless and unaccessable until to you re-register the start menu shell experience according to the procedure given on this website: [How To] Re-register Start Menu In Windows 10. kapi is an MS IT tecky.

You may also have to perform the complete DISM procedures and a File Checker procedure using sfc /scannow from command line using admin privileges.

I have never had this issue in any previous Windows OSs until FCU

Nor for me either. Task Manager shows I'm downloading at the maximum speed my broadband can manage.
