I will wait till after The 17th as then when My PC will not come out of sleep without a restart, I can use MS Support.
I got the exact same on resuming from sleep in the last few builds.

Try turning off hibernation with powercfg -h off. And turn it on again if you want.

After doing that it works for me. I don't think it is a coincidence this problem happens at the same time they decide to turn hibernation on irrespective of your previous settings.

The most recent version is esd-decrypter-wimlib-31.
And definitely you need 31 not 30 if you don't run en-US.

My old Acer laptop is also around 10 years old and started giving GSOD/BSODs with the FCU Insider Builds. It would do it at 75% during the version upgrade, but then would seem to work. However later on it would crash on shutdown/ hibernate.
It turned out that the Windows installer was grabbing a slightly older driver on the fax modem than the one I had, and using the newer* driver has hopefully fixed it.

    * new is relative - they were probably both 10 years old but the one which was a few weeks newer seemed to make the difference.
Thanks, David. Everything in Device Manager is up to par. I have a Motorola modem with no events listed. It does show a "Standard floppy disk controller" when there is no floppy drive in this box. Never saw that in previous OSs that I can remember.

Looked through Events. None in hardware. GSODs/crashes really have no explanation in System events. Just that it "shutdown unexpectedly".

All in all, really no problems now after the system worked itself out after a few days. Other than boot-up thrashing it's running fine. I noticed a "Compatibility Manager" process and telemetry doing most of that at first. Must be an Insider thing. CU is much better on that of which there were no GSODs.

I do not use hibernation but I turned it off.

I have just discovered something very irritating about the new style touch keyboard (apart from fact it still does not have the standard layout for en-gb and many other languages).

It no longer has the button in top left hand corner to change it from a fixed position to a floating keyboard.

You now have to click on the button on top right hand, and select option from there. Why did the idiots decide this change was necessary?

Don't you realize Microsoft always knows more about what is better for you than you do?
