We're all group guinea pigs, more or less. What one of us won't try, another one will.
There are no certainties with being an Insider.
Build 16299.15 has been one of the more stable Builds lately. I've seen/heard of problems, but I don't believe I've read about anyone's system being hosed. Of course, I may have missed a few posts here and there . . .
I do have a question for you, since you say you're not in the Insider Program:
Did you follow Kari's "UUP to ISO" tutorial or the older "ESD to ISO" tutorial (which to my knowledge no longer works)? Or, am I taking things a little too literally?
Hi,
I downloaded the ESD file that someone had pointed to in an .xml earlier in this thread. I then downloaded some tool that created an ISO. But when I ran setup from that, it was prompting me for a key, which I don't know. It won't let me go past this prompt without entering one. I use a Microsoft account and the license is associated with that account and I do not know it. I canceled the upgrade. I am guessing the safe bet is to wait for Windows Update, or is there a way around this? I don't want my license lost.
Thanks
So far so good......only thing I have noticed is it seems like Firefox has slowed down but I doubt that has anything to do with this upgrade.....
definitely some open source software issues with FCU at this time. sure that will get corrected over time.
I will wait till after The 17th as then when My PC will not come out of sleep without a restart, I can use MS Support.
