OK, but just to confirm, you were NOT in the Insider Program when you upgraded your system, correct?

This is my snapshot in regedit:

If you're speaking of Insiders, then it's preview software. It's warned and at times to be expected.

If you're talking upgrading from one OS to the other, or now with 10 from one major upgrade to the other, well all's I'll say is hiccups on the system or the crap people install will most times drag along with it. I'm sure you know that a clean install is best.
Yup, understand completely the risks you take when you are an Insider (i was one for quite some time)

I'm just hopin' that this major update goes as well as the other two (which were all upgrades, not clean installs). I'll clean install IF i need to but just crossing fingers, toes & whatever else can be crossed that it's not necessary.

Correct, I was not in the insider program, but as everyone recommends, it is better that you create an image of the system before doing all this, in case something goes wrong, I can not guarantee that you will not have problems with drivers and things like that, as I said before, every PC and configuration is different, I've been doing this for 2 and a half years on Windows 10, 6 months ago I did it with the ISO that downloaded the MCT, after installation you will not be "scared" if you receive an update that says "Insider Preview" via WU, it happened exactly the same 6 months ago with build 15063, as I explained in this comment:

Edit: Looking closely at the image you uploaded I just noticed that you are in the Release Preview ring, is it correct? if so, that ring will receive this build in the coming days, and I think it will be this week, maybe.

    Not that too :/

Edit: Found what was causing this, I'm using PT-BR ABNT2 Keyboard, I went to "Change input methods" then clicked on "options" on my language (pt-br), "add a new input method" then I added ABNT1 and saved. After this I get back to options and removed that same input, just leaving ABNT2 available, saved. reboot. All done.

Edit2: For some reason this was starting "PC Tablet Input Service" manually, after I did this, never happened again.

So far as I know, 16299.15 is not officially RTM, so don't think it will work. You would have to be a registered Insider for it to activate. But you could try for us.

Worse comes to shove you will not have any Personalization.
Of course it works. You do not have to be in Insider Programme at all to use iso.

Try it in a VM version of CU if not convinced.

Also activation has nothing to do with being an Insider or not.

it is the RTM hippsie the links I got for ESD's are one that MCT tool will use on the 17th that's why they got all editions in one ESD they will be a patch too on 17th so the .15 number will increase

Ok. Just trying to understand how all this works. So then they combine all those ESDs you posted into one ISO, yes?

The properties of the install file of the English (US) edition ISO I made mounted on a thumb is below.

All's I'm saying is that it may be considered RTM, but not officially until MS posts the ISO via MCT. Even you just stated that there will most likely be a last-minute patch included.

To me "RTM" is a loose term, for I'm sure OEMs test these builds all along just as we do. We should probably term it MCT release or Public/Enterprise release, for that's who MS sells to.

    This is all semantics.

The release iso will probably still be 16299.15, but it will update immediately to 16299.XX.

The CU iso is still 15063.0 iirc.

Ordinarily, the iso would have been 16299.0 but MS took unusual step of a full build upgrade to 16299.15.

I think it very unlikely release iso will be anything but 16299.15.

Anyone have "ctfmon.exe" running on task manager? I don't know why this keeps running at startup, noticed that "TabletInputService" is auto-starting too.
You can try to disable tablettip's features, but it never worked for me and I had to disable the service (ctfmon.exe).

    Code:
    sc config TabletInputService start= disabled
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7" /v "EnableAutocorrection" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7" /v "EnableSpellchecking" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7" /v "EnableTextPrediction" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7" /v "EnablePredictionSpaceInsertion" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7" /v "EnableDoubleTapSpace" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
