FYI - I have exactly the same options on both my machines for Insider settings. (Check my Computer specs for details)

Both machines has these options in first BOX:

    1. Just fixes, apps and drivers
    2. Active development of Windows
    3. Skip ahead to next Windows release

Second Box Options when switching option in first Box:
Selecting 1. Box becomes disabled and states "Release Preview"
Selecting 2. Box is enabled and has options "Fast" and Slow"
Selecting 3. Box is grayed out and states "Fast"

    Hi,

Guys, this is the RTM build. Just read the release notes on page 1 of this thread:

    Cheers,
I think you are correct in a way, although it has not gone RTM as yet. 16299 will remain with higher extension numbers as cumulative updates are released. e.g. CU build is now up to 15063.632 and with each cumulative update the extension number increases.

When MS feels confident on a certain 16299.something is good enough, they will release it to OEMs.

    Think the phrase
Servicing this via Windows updates is the clue.

We seem to have had 2 of these included this build
Ondemand language pack and the Dotnet..
    make that 3 DXD
    so not RTM

That does not mean that this build is not the RTM, I'm sorry, but Zac Bowden explains it better, he handles English much better than I do and if I tried to explain it nobody would understand me, that's why I prefer to put his explanations:

There is no canary build on the RS3 branch anymore. We got to have some kind of announcement. But anyway I'm sticking with Skippy where there is a 17010 compiled Sat that should be released this week?

Thurrott has a slant on it. Seems we throw around terms that MS doesn't use.

    How about a new acronym?
