Zac is not an MS employee...I believe MS when they say it is RTM. The rest is just pure speculations.

In fact, the option to choose Release Preview first appeared in build 16288:

As with my post above and the shot below I'm not getting what you're getting and wondering why.

    Hi,

Guys, this is the RTM build. Just read the release notes on page 1 of this thread:

UPDATE 10/2: We have released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16299.15 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. As we prepare to release the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update to the world on October 17th, we will now start testing out servicing this build with the Cumulative Updates via Windows Update.
    Cheers,

That's fair and when Microsoft confirms it, I will be here to remind you of my comments, people forget quite quickly, some had already forgotten that the RP option was present for a long time

Not an option for me -
    Just fixes, apps, and drivers
    Active Development of Windows
Skip Ahead to the next windows release

    And the Fast/Slow ring option

"Just fixes, apps, and drivers" is the same as "Just send me early updates"

That may be true - but F14 said "Change Active Development to Release Preview." - I do not have that option

I'm not on Insider right now, so I was posting that from memory. What LEOPEVA64 is correct, from what I remember. I'd have to boot that back up to confirm. I think when you change that, the bottom option will change to "Release Preview".

OK - now I understand - pretty sure you and Leo did a terrible job of explaining exactly what one should do to get the results you two were discussing. - I can live with this explanation -
