IE in RS3 appear somewhat affected, soooo slow loading....are M$ thinking about ditching it?
On my Skippy build IE crashes as soon as it tries to start. I haven't tried it on my other computers.

Release Preview will eventually get you to RS4, but judging by today, it will be around a week before the RS4 release proper.
Totally agree but at this stage I didn't think it was worth mentioning.

After a couple of restarts IE is now working speedily, though adblock plus does not work using it.

Could it be my having dropped out of Insider but still on 16299.15 on this particular computer?

I am not an insider at all, I am just running 16299.15 as a regular OS with every insider option completely disabled.

The only thing Preview Release has gotten me is a cumulative update sooner than everyone else.

Fingers crossed 16299.15 will be available via MCT soon.
My guess....Friday. After 3 days to filter out 16299.15 to Release Preview, and not too close to FCU.....

I Clean Installed 16299.15 on my main PC. It has never been in the Insider program so as far as I know, I am now at the official FCU level.

Same here after downgrading from Fast Ring to PR. Feel it is just a matter of time since I did do the change just last night.
