I have tried it and it is really poor, especially with homonyms (words that sound the same) e.g. buy, bye, by or no, know etc. If you use Cortana, it is quite good at sorting homonyms by context of sentence. The dictation mode just chooses a word and moves on not doing any contextual check. Also, it does not even get words right even if not a homonym.

I dread to think what it would do with some of the local Aberdeen accents - LOL.

As I said in an earlier post "As JM wood saye, ewe khan knot bee serious".
Well I'm making some strides. I'm not doing too much editing. And doing punctuation is getting better. I did some voice training And learning some commands. Working much better now. Probably could get a better microphone. The one I have is quite old.

I hear you on the homonyms. They've got a way to go yet. Speech must be a real bear to code with the voice recognition/learning and all. Many, many variables in speech.

There isn't hibernation option when clicking Start... (even right clicking..). It just shows in Control panel.

You're correct and I removed the screener from my prev post. I have Classic Shell and Hibernate is still in the power menu. However, when I click it, it invokes Sleep (power button blinks, doesn't go off). Thus, still no Hibernate, no option in Control Panel/Power and greyed out 'h' in powershell implies not even present. My curiosity is piqued now.

You've said something about having custom power plan. Might has something to do with it. Or even some extra Group policy?

Check your bios settings to see what "S" power states you have available and enabled. S1, S2, S3 and S4-S5. They're all tied into support for sleep/hibernate, etc.

I am going to save this for when I cannot sleep. I fell asleep before I got to the end of it :-D.

That wasn't me but I am on a Custom plan. When I saw that post, I tried the (recommended) Balanced plan (only other one present ?) and set to it's defaults. Still no Hibernate option so I reverted back. Keep the ideas coming.

Interesting up to a point Kari but for me too much hype.
