Yes, cannot see any problem as you are doing a clean install.
The clean install is what I'm trying to avoid. The last clean install took me hours to get setup the way I wanted it. Some of my installed programs can be a pain. Some of them I have to go online and have the license removed from the computer so I can license it on the new install. I could swap out the SSD but then I would have to go through almost the same headache as a clean install. I have purchased and installed a number of programs on my SSD running the Skippy build that is not installed on my SSD that has the GA build. I haven't even used it in months so it's definitely not up to date. Worse comes to worse I guess I could wait until the official release on the 17th. My plan is to drop out of the Insider on my PowerSpec Desk top and use my new laptop to continue participating in the Insider Program. If I decide I want to use Insider builds on this desktop I'll do it in a VM. This would free up a SSD to replace the HDD in my laptop.

Just did a clean install with the ESD from Microsoft converted to ISO, all good so far, it was really quick.

What I don't understand is why Microsoft have put out ESDs rather than ISOs? Or aren't the links to an MS server at all.

Just IMO, if they publish ISOs, it would be the same as announcing and releasing FCU.

They haven't released ESDs to the public (including Insiders) but I think the links are to Microsoft. I think they will release ISOs, they just haven't done it yet.

My bet is that ISOs will appear on the Insider ISO download page (or possibly Media Creation Toolkit) before the end of the week. I seem to remember 1703 ISOs appeared on the Insider download page before going to MCT last time.

They will publish ISOs, these esds is what is pulled down from windows update to do upgrades. The links to the ESD files were just leaked.
