Can't see that happening. Simply too much time effort would be required to keep two different Fast ring forks alive.

On another note, some half a year ago I promised to make this tutorial next weekend. As this is the first weekend since then , I finally got it made:

    Thanks, Kari!

Yep, and both forks would have exactly the same code, features and bugs...what's the point in that?

Maybe we can a better idea of development of rs4 next week. It is likely that code for the Oct 17 rollout is complete or almost complete. So, since the current rs4 canary compiled Wed is
    10.0.17007.1000 (rs_prerelease.170927-1422)
Then we should get 17009 compiled yesterday = just saying

Installed the latest Realtek Audio and AMD Radeon drivers. This is what is called making lemonade out of a lemon.

Is anyone having issues with sfc /scannow because of the Insider Builds? I keep getting "Error: Overlap: Duplicate ownership for directory" errors.

Yes but mine finishes with report if some errors not being able to repair even after repeated tries and from safe mode.

I get the CBS log as well, but the errors are not fixed.

Build 17004 has more trouble with hardware than most IP builds.

I've never had hardware issues, with the exception of Logitech BRIO webcam and Windows 'Hello'.
A simple un-plug/plug-in of the device fixed that up right shortly!

Well we (and more generally MS) have to live with the fact that we all have very different hardware.

My error with the sound device (while using Realtek drivers) was confirmed by another Insider

Nevertheless it did not occur the second time I installed.

I'm still wondering what it will look like when "Skippy goes away after 10/17".
